This is a great, diverse selection of links! It's interesting how the Tudor house in Trilby uses so many odds and ends from various places in Florida -- it's sort of a living museum of the state.

It reminded me of another, though perhaps less historical, self-built house in the Tampa Bay area. Two artists have spent years decorating the Bowling Ball House with bottles, tiles and other trash items from Clearwater.

It's a lot flashier, but you have to respect anybody who spends so much time making their home uniquely theirs in a place where identical McMansions are so common.

  2. Thanks for the link to the photograph of the Bowling Ball house. It would be in the top five of my best houses in Tampa Bay list (if I had such a list).
